I have been a busy mom

So much has been going on. My daughter graduated from college. I moved my son and daughter into an apartment in Southern Maine where they will both be working for the summer. B on the beach and T in a Law Firm in Portland. This is the first summer they are not home for the summer. Youngest P doesn't know what to think - he has his parents undivided attention whether he likes it or not. ......................and..........our new puppy was born a few days ago - in about 6 weeks there will be a new golden retriever puppy in our house - we are going through the "what to name" game currently.

On the knitting front. The Seize Diamond sock are finished. I really am happy how they turned out. I am a little bothered about the difference in the color of each skein. I don't know for sure if this is a freak occurrence or if it is typical in hand dyed yarn. Anyway ....here they are.

Next we have the Chevron Scarf from Last Minute Gifts. This will be an on going project - mostly car knitting. I love the yarn combination - STR farm house and watermelon something.
I have also started my mother-in-law's socks. I was able to stop into Grace Robinson in Freeport the other day and found this yarn and (of course) some others. She wanted something not really wild.

...........and while in Grace Robinson I noticed a baby sweater knit out of sock yarn. I have for a long time wanted to knit a little sweater but resisted the urge because people often think it is for grandchildren. Well I hope grandchildren are a few years down the road - I do have coworkers having babies so this gives me the opportunity to knit little people stuff. Take a look.

Well that is most of what I have to share. I am saving the other yarn purchase for another post. Tomorrow P and I are off the camp to meet M - should be a lot of knitting time.
